■ Along with the rapid development of the textile industry, especially the chemical fiber sector, the important role of ceramic guides having been more and more recognized by the insiders. Poor quality or improperly-selected guides may cause "snow" , "hairs" ,or even "breakage" etc. problems in the initial stages of textile production process,consequently,poor quality of final products.
■ Different from the ceramics used in other fields, surface roughness of textile ceramics is a decisive factor in users' consideration. The reason is that, the surface roughness defines the friction coefficient while the yarns / threads passing through the guides ( Please refer to the diagram as below ), and as return the amount of heat created due to the friction with the guides.
"Heated"guides may cause slight shape-change of yarns / threads-especially for chemical fibers,and create "sticking effect" on the surface of guides, as result higher friction coefficient.Thus, the a.m. problems occur.

General prompt for oiling nozzle selection:
While choosing the oiling nozzle, the following factors should be considered:
1.Yarn speed:
lf the speed less than 4,000 m/min, normal polished surface can be considered.
If the speed more than 4,500 m/min, low friction surface should be considered.
2.Size of yarn:
For filament more than 1 dpf, no rmal polished surface can be conside red.
For filament less than 1 dpf, low friction surface should be considered.
3.Material:
Nylon & full dull polyester yarns have special requirements on the design and surface conditions of the nozzles.
